Men's size

It's so easy!

 

To take your measurements, the tape measure does not need to be held tightly to your body.
If you don't have a tape measure, replace it with string, which you can measure later.
But no ... a handyman's tape won't do the trick! smile
Austrian clothing sizes
  • For jackets
If you don't know your French jacket size, it's usually sufficient to measure your chest size (n°2 on the sketch) and divide it by 2, for example:

You have a 104cm chest:
104/2 = 52FR = your very French jacket size!

Choose your French jacket size
and we'll send you the corresponding Austrian size. For example, if you order a French size 52, don't be surprised if you receive the Austrian 50. The French size is then indicated in pencil next to the Austrian.
For those of you who already have Steinbock or other Austrian or German brand jackets in your closet, there's a mistake on the label: it shows the same Austrian and French size on the inside of the jacket. But only the Austrian size is correct, so you still have to convert it. For example: their Austrian 56 is not a French 56, but a French 58!
It's quite simple, but if you're not sure, please contact us!
Order size for the vest If you want it to fit very snugly, one size smaller than the jacket may be welcome...

To find out your jacket, dress, sweater or blouse size: Take your measurements, then refer to the size charts below. Girth = circumference

The tape measure should not be held tightly, but should be placed flat against the body:
1) Chest circumference: Level with the tip of the breasts
2) Under-chest circumference: Level with just below the breasts
3) Waist circumference: Level with the deepest part of the waist after breathing out normally
4) Hip circumference: Level with the strongest part below the waist
